LO1 - THEORY OF DIGITAL GRAPHICS
In this section I have prepared a digital graphics magazine insert and cover that summarises Vetor Graphics and Bitmaps. As well as this I have a variety of doccuments that features the basics of everything you need to know about digital graphics. I have used my class notes, my own knowledge as well as research from the internet to illustrate different types.
APPLICATIONS OF DIGITAL GRAPHICSThis collage is used to demonstrate some applications of digital graphics. You can see that there is a vast range of uses for example; web pages, computer menus, TV, electronic kiosks, phones, iPads, etc.

BITS, BYTES, PIXELS & RESOLUTIONThis document is about the basic storage of digital information. It features information about each as well as defining keyterms associated with digital graphics.

BIT DEPTH/COLOUR DEPTHThis A3 spread has been used to express the relationship between both file size and colour depth. Throughout the doccument there is information regarding colour look-up tables and bit depth as well as information about 2 and 4 bit & monochrome.

256 INDEX COLOURThis sheet has been made to compare the difference in formats of index colouring - This includes CLUT, Dithering and Greyscale.

COLOUR SPACEThis sheet is used to decribe the methods in which we use to store colours on computers. I have featured CMYK, HSB as well as going into more specific information on the RGB colour space method as it is most commonly used.

BITMAPSThe sheet describes the way in which we use GIF files to compress specific images in order to give them the ability to run quicker on computers. It covers their uses and limitations also.

JPEGThis page explains why we use JPEG and PNG files as well as looking at bitmaps and compression.

VECTOR GRAPHICSThis page specifially focuses on Vector Graphics and how they are created as well as briefly mentioning the comparrison between them and Bitmap Graphics.

DGD - COVERThis is the cover of my 'Digital Graphic Designer' Magazine. I created the cover myself using a picture previously taken then added an abstract background along with the use of ink splatters/drips and sections of lighting. I then added typical features of magazine - for example; a bar code, date and price to the cover in order to make it look realistic.
